I love coming to this beauty school. They are always professional and I love the fact that they take appointments as some schools only do walk-ins.
They recently started a discount program that you can buy into and it’s an amazing deal. I can’t wait to use my gift cards from it for facials and massages.
I highly recommend this place.
I have been going here for over 3 years - ever since they opened. I’ve had problems with their color service before, but nothing like this. It took from 1:00 - 4:40 today. I wanted to continue my blonde and asked if they had my formula. They said yes.
This color is as far from blonde as can possibly you get. See photos below. I am disappointed and angry. I left with wet hair so I really didn’t look carefully at the color. I thought it would dry light. Boy was I shocked when my hair dried after 45 minutes of driving home.
I should have had them dry it, but it was already close to 5 and I had a 45 minute drive home. Additionally I am recovering from shoulder replacement surgery and this was my first outing in over a month. I was in pain or I would have had them dry it. Of course, then I would have cried all the way home.
I’m so very disappointed. Now I have to find a salon that understands hair color.
Yes, they will redo it, but it’s my time, gas and mileage and time sitting in a chair for hours . They ‘ll have to strip this and redo it.
Went to the salon last week and receptionist hands me a paper to sign during check in. She was insistent that I just sign so that she could speed up the check in process but I told her I will not sign anything without reading it first, regardless of who is in line behind me.
Next, I met my stylist, Chloe. She was AMAZING!!! After going here for about 6 months now, I can honestly say she was the best. I felt bad for her though because once we had our consultation she was discussing her plan with the teacher, DawnMarie. Sadly, this teacher was very distracted by her headset and other students who were interrupting that she gave Chloe some incorrect advice on how to proceed with my hair. We learned LATER from another instructor that my touch up and highlights could have been done all at once INSTEAD of touch up, wait, wash, dry THEN highlights, wait, wash, dry and style. My 3 hour appointment turned into 6 1/2 hours! In addition, I specifically asked for my fringe not to be cut too short, but DawnMarie insisted on cutting too much. In the end, I love my color and hate my fringe.
As a result, I understand its a school, but its also a business. I would advise the leaders to slow down, put a halt to the interruptions, and really work with the students and customers.
I had a fantastic experience with Aimee and her instructor Kayla at Aveda Institute Brandon. They were very courteous, attentive, and professional. They understood my concerns and expectations, and offered me honest and helpful suggestions. They also ensured that I was comfortable and happy throughout the process. I came to the institute to color at first did not work but Aimee and Keyla did a remarkable job of correcting it and giving me a fresh and beautiful color that matched my skin tone and style. I was very impressed by their expertise.
I am very pleased with the results and I have received many compliments on my color. I would highly recommend Aimee and Kayla to anyone who is looking for a high-quality service and a friendly environment. They are the best in the industry!
Mae was amazing! I’ve come in three times for her services. Once for a trim, second and third for both my color consult and my color appointment. She wowed me with her work! I have insanely dark curly hair and I didn’t want to damage my curls but I wanted a vibrant Auburn and she fulfilled that for me! I will definitely be going back!
I went in for a haircut yesterday and had a great experience from check-in to checkout. The ladies at the front desk were very professional and my appointment was right on time. The student, Rachel, did a phenomenal job at cutting my hair. I have very thick wavy hair and I walk out of the salon unhappy 90% of the time, but not this time. THANK YOU, RACHEL. I will definitely be back again.
My stylist was very accommodating and friendly but seemed to lack a lot of knowledge and experience for someone who would be working the salon floor. I later learned that she was brand new to working the salon floor and there wasn’t much instructor presence or training taking place. When I booked my appointment, I asked to be placed with a senior stylist and learned during my appointment that I was instead seated with a brand new stylist who told me this was her first time ever working the salon floor. I came in with waist-length dark brown hair and hoped to keep most of my long length and have my ends trimmed/layers put in with very subtle highlights to create a little dimension and I left 6 hours later with many inches cut off the length and brassy highlights with lines of demarcation. A handful of layers were reluctantly placed in the front without any layers being placed in the back. The student stylist often had to consult with other students while cutting the layers and coloring my hair because there weren’t any instructors present on the floor to ask or verify their work. I left the salon having to buy blue shampoo from a nearby salon supply store to try and tackle the brassy tones from the highlights and I (now) have to come back next Saturday and arrange further childcare to have my hair cut and color corrected.
If you are looking to go to school here for esthetician don’t ! Save your money and go to.
different school ,
They can never keep a teacher and
I may self went there and first 4-5 months just us teaching ourself because they couldn’t keep anyone 1. No one other campus cared help or interact with us 2. Toxic environments
3.they don’t care what you have to say just long you get the money and they may say or we will find a way work with you bull ahit because a girl my class had autistic brother that she need to miss a few day and she willing to graduate later in order help take care him and Alexis didn’t care and gave her one day figure it out needles to say she dropped out because how rude she is and she only picks her favorites people to be kinda to
Also the kit we pay for not worth how much you have to attend and they don’t care get right waters for the steamers and barely get cleaned and always out something
So I can go on but go different school don’t go here
